Private and Semi-Private Pilates Instruction
We offer both Private and Duet sessions
Private sessions are 1-on-1 with your instructor
Duet sessions are 2-on-1 with your instructor, alongside a workout partner
Both Private and Duet sessions are taught by skilled, certified Pilates Instructors and tailored to meet your specific fitness needs. Your instructors will likely incorporate the Pilates equipment, including Reformer and/or Mat. Our Bainbridge location also has access to a Pilates Chair, Barrel, Trap Table, CoreAlign equipment - we hope to bring the same scope of equipment to our Poulsbo location soon!
Reformer Classes
Reformer Classes of up to 8 to 10 students taught by a Certified Pilates Instructor. Four levels of classes allow us to meet the needs of beginner to advanced students.
Level 1: Foundations of Pilates
Brand new to the Reformer or been awhile since taking Pilates? It is highly recommended you start with our beginner class - Foundations of Pilates. You will learn or re-learn how to:
Coordinate breath with movement
Understand the concept of pelvic positioning
Set up the equipment and spring resistance
Stabilize your powerhouse
Lift and lengthen the spine
Understand vocabulary of anatomical terms and kinesthetic awareness
Level 2: Fundamentals of Pilates
Already taken the beginner series or taken private sessions? If you have a comprehensive understanding of Pilates concepts and exercises and how to modify exercises for your own body, you are ready for the Fundamentals of Pilates class. For this class, you will be expected to:
Maintain a stable pelvic position during open chain, closed chain, or semi-closed chain exercises
Stabilize shoulders during upper body movement
Set up the equipment, and know your springs
Move in flexion, extension, lateral flexion, and rotation
Level 3: Intermediate Pilates
Can you flow through a workout with control and know how to work harder within any exercise? Can you activate muscles on cue? Intermediate Pilates is for you. You will be expected to:
Have a working knowledge of fundamental exercise order, equipment and spring set-up, and transitions
Navigate safely with fewer points of contact
Learn more complex rotational and side-bending exercises
Adjust quickly to variations or additions as cued by the instructor
Level 4: Advanced Pilates
Instructor Approval is REQUIRED for these classes. Our advanced classes builds on the intermediate level - working faster through your transitions with more challenging moves. Requires knowledge of the exercises, great form and excellent balance.

Pilates Mat Class
Learn the key techniques: breathing, postural alignment, and basic exercises that will get you moving safely and strongly in your life. We'll build from the basics and change it up. Come have fun with us! Uses; foam roller, weights, large ball, and core ball.
Pilates Mat 2-3
Mixed level Pilates class, designed for the EXPERIENCED Pilates student. Exercises range from basics to advanced, with an emphasis on breathing, stabilization, and modifications for bodies with occasional challenges! We use rings, foam rollers, Therabands, weights, and balls. Please check with the instructor before attending class to make sure this is a good match for you and your body.
Osteoporosis Exercise (Beg/Int)
This class has site specific weight-bearing exercise to help maintain and improve bone density as well as improve balance, strength and posture to prevent falls/fractures. Uses; bands, tennis ball, hand weights, chair, mat, stick and pillow/cushion
Preparing for your first day
Fitted, comfortable workout gear is best
Socks are required (grippy yoga socks) We have them for purchase if needed
Avoid the use of lotion on hands or feet prior to class
Make sure your hair up and out of the face
Do not wear jewelry or strong perfume
